| Gene Description | RAF1, Raf-1 proto-oncogene, serine/threonine kinase, is a member of the Raf family of serine/threonine protein kinases and is activated by Ras to stimulate Mek/Erk to promote cell proliferation (PMID: 21577205, PMID: 31285551) and plays a role in metabolism, motility, and differentiation (PMID: 28978120). Raf1 fusion proteins have been identify in several tumor types, including pilocytic astrocytoma (PMID: 27810072), soft tissue sarcoma (PMID: 30314519), breast cancer (PMID: 29203461), and melanoma (PMID: 30835257, PMID: 32123303) and Raf1 missene mutations have been observed in lung cancer (PMID: 31285551). | ||||||||||
