| Gene Description | STRN, striatin, is a member of the striatin family of WD repeat proteins that may function in protein scaffolding and in neuronal development and function (PMID: 24333164, PMID: 10748158). Fusions of STRN have been reported with multiple gene partners in several tumor types, including a recurrent fusion with ALK in thyroid cancer (PMID: 26933125, PMID: 24613930, PMID: 31539879), and overexpression of Strn has been observed in hepatocellular carcinoma, where it may promote invasion and migration (PMID: 32280692). | ||||||||||
