| Gene Description | VEGFC, vascular endothelial growth factor C, is a secreted ligand that binds to Kdr (Vegfr2), Flt4 (Vegfr3) and the neuropilin family receptors (PMID: 25888649), and plays a role in angiogenesis (PMID: 32132179) and may be a modulator of the immune system (PMID: 32154654). Elevated Vegfc expression has been associated with lymphangiogenesis and lymph node metastasis in breast cancer (PMID: 25888649) and overexpression has been reported in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 32154654). | ||||||||||
