E777 is a recombinant protein consisting of the binding domain of the cytokine IL-2 fused to fragments A and B of the diphtheria toxin, which binds to the IL-2 receptor on tumor cells, and following endocytosis leads to inhibition of protein synthesis, potentially resulting in cell death (PMID: 33792128, NCI Thesaurus).
