| Gene Description | YAP1, Yes1 associated transcriptional regulator, is a downstream transcriptional regulator in the Hippo signalling pathway, affecting organ size and tumor formation via cell proliferation and apoptotic control (PMID: 32128850). YAP amplification and/or overexpression has been reported in various cancers (PMID: 17974916, PMID: 22609812, PMID: 32203465), including colon cancer (PMID: 31949692), esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 31949690, PMID: 31851786), gastric cancer (PMID: 31933860), and liver cancer (PMID: 31613226), and YAP1 fusions with multiple gene partners have been commonly observed (PMID: 31145701). | ||||||||||
