| Gene Description | PRMT5, protein arginine methyltransferase 5, is a type II arginine methyltransferase that mediates methylation of histones and other cellular proteins, and plays a role in regulation of cell proliferation, growth, and differentiation (PMID: 21975038), and may also function in regulating T-cell survival and proliferation (PMID: 32328070). Overexpression of Pmrt5 has been associated with decreased survival in several solid tumor types (PMID: 21966347, PMID: 25263650), including breast, lung and gastric cancer (PMID: 31139329), and has also been reported in hematological cancers (PMID: 32042864). | ||||||||||
