| Gene Description | HOXB13, homeobox B13, encodes a member of the HOX gene family and is a transcription factor involved in vertebrate embryonic development, particularly playing a role in the development of body segments along the anterior/posterior axes (PMID: 12668621, PMID: 31137568). Germline HOXB13 mutations have been associated with prostate cancer (PMID: 28798948, PMID: 25206306) and aberrant expression of HOXB13 has been identified in a variety of tumor types, including endometrial cancer, ovarian cancer, colorectal cancer, and thyroid cancer (PMID: 28798948). | ||||||||||
