| Gene Description | ARID5A, AT-rich interaction domain 5A, is a nucleic acid-binding protein (PMID: 23676272, PMID: 35126382) that belongs to the ARID family of proteins, which plays a role in RNA stability and transcriptional regulation (PMID: 35126382), acts as a corepressor for ER alpha, ER beta, and the androgen receptor (PMID: 15941852), and is involved in regulation of inflammatory response (PMID: 29358370, PMID: 35126382). ARID5A mutations have been seen in papillary thyroid cancer (PMID: 29753010), and increased ARID5A expression has been identified in glioma (PMID: 34094918), while decreased expression has been observed in breast cancer (PMID: 33592583). | ||||||||||
