| Gene Description | AKAP13, A-kinase anchor protein 13, is a member of a family of A-kinase anchor proteins that acts as a scaffold for PKA, PKC, and PKD, as well as anchors IKKbeta to mediate NFkappaB pathway activation and demonstrates GEF activity for Rho GTPase (PMID: 15383279, PMID: 19319965, PMID: 23090968) and acts to regulate pathways related to cardiac function (PMID: 31512389). A fusion with AKAP13 and RET has been identified in papillary thyroid carcinoma (PMID: 32326537) and AKAP13 mutations have been observed in breast cancer (PMID: 16234258). | ||||||||||
