| Gene Description | CCR5, C-C motif chemokine receptor 5, is a member of the seven transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor superfamily that plays a role in signal transduction and modulates immune response and function of macrophages, and functions as a co-receptor for HIV-1 (PMID: 19339947, PMID: 17883327). Overexpression of CCR5 has been identified in various advanced solid tumors and hematologic malignancies (PMID: 31292161), including acute lymphocytic leukemia (PMID: 28469959), breast (PMID: 29358169), prostate (PMID: 25452256), and pancreatic cancer (PMID: 29358632). | ||||||||||
