| Gene Description | COL1A1, collagen type I alpha 1 chain, is one of two chains, along with COL1A2, that forms type I collagen (PMID: 27894325), which maintains structural integrity of tissues (PMID: 23145505). A COL1A1-PDGFB fusion has been observed in sarcoma (PMID: 10446987) and Col1a1 may be a potential biomarker in gastric cancer (PMID: 27894325, PMID: 32190306), and may promote metastasis in breast cancer (PMID: 29906404). | ||||||||||
