| Gene Description | CYP19A1, cytochrome P450 family 19 subfamily A member 1, is an aromatase member of the cytochrome P450 gene superfamily, which catalyzes the rate-limiting step in the conversion of androgens to estrogens (PMID: 29363090). CYP19A1 amplification and/or overexpression has been observed in estrogen receptor positive breast cancer (PMID: 29363090, PMID: 28112739). | ||||||||||
