| Gene Description | DYRK1A, dual specificity tyrosine phosphorylation regulated kinase 1A, encodes for a protein kinase known to target genes involved in growth, development, cell proliferation, apoptosis, chromatin modulation, and alternative splicing (PMID: 20167603, PMID: 31035417). Overexpression of DYRK1A has been associated with cancer, including pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 30343272), but it also exhibits tumor suppressor characteristics, which is dependent on the cellular context (PMID: 25795597). | ||||||||||
