| Gene Description | EGR1, early growth response 1, encodes a transcriptional regulator that is induced by various signals either extracellularly or from the environment, thereby playing a role in many biological processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, and angiogenesis (PMID: 18397757, PMID: 20009530, PMID: 17312150). Increased expression of EGR1 has been identified in gastric cancer (PMID: 27698846) and prostate cancer (PMID: 9622090). | ||||||||||
