| Gene Description | EWSR1, EWS RNA binding protein 1, is a member of the FET family of DNA/RNA-binding proteins (PMID: 30962207) and is involved in multiple cellular functions including gene expression and RNA processing (PMID: 21816343). EWSR1 fusions, with multiple gene partners, are frequently observed in sarcomas (PMID: 23329308, PMID: 27740934, PMID: 32134119, PMID: 32039736), an EWSR1-TFE3 fusion has been observed in renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 31774608), and other EWSR1 fusions have been reported in nervous system related tumors (PMID: 31812440, PMID: 31863478) and several other tumors (PMID: 31430493). | ||||||||||
