| Gene Description | FOXM1, forkhead box M1, encodes a member of the Forkhead superfamily of transcription factors, which plays a significant role in early development and tissue repair and homeostasis via the regulation of a variety of biological functions including cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and survival and DNA damage repair (PMID: 25287128, PMID: 25068996). FOXM1 overexpression has been demonstrated in a variety of tumor types including breast cancer (PMID: 31815181), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 22249132), gastric cancer (PMID: 23054116), and non-small cell lung cancer (PMID: 24715097), and amplification has been observed in osteosarcoma (PMID: 30266815), and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (PMID: 21305641). | ||||||||||
