| Gene Description | FOXO3, forkhead box O3, encodes for a protein belonging to the Forkhead box O family of transcription factors, which plays a role in multiple cellular functions such as cell proliferation, apoptosis, autophagy, and metabolism (PMID: 24864265). Overexpression of FOXO3 has been associated with worse prognosis in several tumor types including neuroblastoma, gastric, hepatocarcinoma (PMID: 32256814), renal cell carcinoma, and breast cancer (PMID: 25678856). | ||||||||||
