| Gene Description | SSBP2, single stranded DNA binding protein 2, binds to single-stranded DNA (ssDNA) and is required for DNA replication and genomic stability (PMID: 19683501), and forms a complex with LDB1 to connect enhancers to gene promoters (PMID: 31892537). A SSBP2-JAK2 fusion has been identified in pre-B acute lymphocytic leukemia (PMID: 18618714), decreased expression of Ssbp2 has been reported in clear cell renal cell carcinoma patients with poor prognosis (PMID: 31882468), while overexpression has been associated with decreased survival in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 30541499). | ||||||||||
