| Gene Description | SLC7A11, solute carrier family 7 member 11, plays a role in managing the intracellular levels of glutathione and in preventing stress-induced cell death via oxidative stress (PMID: 28630042, PMID: 29764521). Decreased expression of SLC7A11 has been observed in ARID1A-deficient cancers, such as ovarian cancer, but overexpression has also been identified in other tumor types, including lung cancer, and may contribute to tumor progression (PMID: 29789716, PMID: 30686770). | ||||||||||
