| Gene Description | RICTOR, RPTOR independent companion of MTOR complex 2, is a component of the mTORC2 complex, which regulates cell survival and tumorgenesis (PMID: 25450580) through the PI3K-AKT pathway (PMID: 32041519). Amplification and/or overexpression of Rictor have been identified in a variety of cancers (PMID: 29455662), including small cell lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and esophageal cancer (PMID: 31740232), where it may promote resistance to tyrosine kinase inhibitors (PMID: 32041519). | ||||||||||
