| Gene Description | GATA6, GATA binding protein 6, is a member of the GATA family of zinc finger transcription factors, that plays a role in differentiation of endodermal and mesodermal tissues during embryogenesis, leading to formation of the gut, lung, and heart (PMID: 29106391). Aberrant expression of Gata6 may be prognostic for decreased survival in ovarian cancer (PMID: 30633927) and gastric cancer (PMID: 30674866), and is frequently amplified in gastric cancer (PMID: 29106391). | ||||||||||
