| Gene Description | AFF3, AF4/FMR2 family, member 3, is a a lymphoid-specific gene (PMID: 32305967) that encodes a nuclear protein with a potential role in transcriptional activation (PMID: 8555498) and X chromosome inactivation (PMID: 30535390). An FGFR2-AFF3 fusion has been identified in breast cancer (PMID: 23558953), and Aff3 mRNA expression has been associated with increased survival in TNBC (PMID: 32305967), while overexpression has been associated with resistance to chemotherapy (PMID: 30326937). | ||||||||||
