| Gene Description | BCAM, basal cell adhesion molecule (Lutheran blood group), is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily that functions as a receptor for laminin alpha5 and has a putative role in cell migration and metastasis (PMID: 24223164, PMID: 24036115). Overexpression of Bcam has been observed in metastatic gastric cancer (PMID: 31951095), bladder cancer (PMID: 28841878), and ovarian cancer (PMID: 24036115), and a BCAM-AKT2 has been reported in ovarian carcinoma (PMID: 25733895). | ||||||||||
