| Gene Description | SMAD3, SMAD family member 3, is a transcription factor (PMID: 30589983) and mediator of TGF beta signaling (PMID: 23139211) that plays a role in inflammation (PMID: 30659096). A EWSR1-SMAD3 fusion has been identified in spindle cell tumors (PMID: 29309308) and somatic mutations have been identified in colorectal cancer (PMID: 23139211). | ||||||||||
