| Gene Description | NOS2, nitric oxide synthase 2, is a calcium-independent, inducible enzyme that synthesizes nitric oxide, therefore regulates multiple signaling pathways involved in cell survival, apoptosis, angiogenesis, migration, invasion, and oxidative stress in tumor tissue and tumor microenvironment (PMID: 26335399). NOS2 expression has been identified in lung (PMID: 25056538), prostate (PMID: 9587122), breast (PMID: 10873093), bladder (PMID: 9915473), and colon cancer (PMID: 10219017), and a NOS2-ERBB2 fusion has been identified in gastric cancer (PMID: 25889497). | ||||||||||
