| Gene Description | SERPINE1, serpin family E member 1, encodes a serine protease inhibitor that blocks plasminogen activation, inhibits fibrinolysis (PMID: 20626406), and plays a role in inflammation (PMID: 22360729), wound repair (PMID: 24669362, PMID: 15174100), and carcinogenesis (PMID: 31734763). Increased Serpine1 expression has been identified in colorectal cancer (PMID: 22198637), melanoma (PMID: 22716255), gastric tumor (PMID: 30410354), and a fusion with FOSB has been identified in pseudomyogenic haemangioendothelioma (PMID: 28622428). | ||||||||||
