| Gene Description | PRKN, parkin RBR E3 ubiquitin protein ligase, binds to E2 ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes thereby playing a role in protein degradation via ubiquitination and subsequently regulating various cellular processes, including mitochondrial homeostasis, anti-oxidative stress, and mitophagy (PMID: 10973942, PMID: 29529199). Loss of PRKN has been associated with colorectal carcinoma (PMID: 20696900) and loss of function mutations in PRKN have been associated with glioma (PMID: 25877876). | ||||||||||
