| Gene Description | TLR8, toll like receptor 8, encodes a member of the endosomal toll-like receptor family of proteins that intracellularly plays a role in the detection of foreign single-strand RNA and subsequent activation of inflammatory cytokines (PMID: 18927625, PMID: 20652908, PMID: 23906644), and is involved in cross-talk with other endosomal toll-like receptor proteins (PMID: 23085951) and anti-tumor immunity (PMID: 25231413). TLR8 is overexpressed in pancreatic cancer (PMID: 26134824) and lung cancer (PMID: 22344343). | ||||||||||
