Gene Description PRKAR1A, protein kinase cAMP-dependent type I regulatory subunit alpha, is a major component of Pka which mediates cAMP-dependent signaling (PMID: 26042218). Inactivation of PRKAR1A is associated with the familial syndrome of Carney complex (PMID: 20301463, PMID: 30699069), adrenocortical tumors (PMID: 26042218), and melanoma (PMID: 32118628).
