| Gene Description | PVT1, Pvt1 oncogene (non-protein coding), is a long non-coding RNA containing four miRNAs, 1204-1207, (PMID: 22832581), which may play a role in the regulation of the TGF-beta/Smad pathway (PMID: 29845201) and the Pvt1 promoter competes with Myc for enhancer binding, thereby regulating Myc expression (PMID: 29731168). Overexpression of Pvt1 has been observed in pancreatic cancer (PMID: 29845201), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 29975928), and colorectal cancer (PMID: 29512788) and a PVT1-MYC fusion has been observed in medulloblastoma (PMID: 22832581). | ||||||||||
