| Gene Description | BCL2, BCL2 apoptosis regulator, belongs to the BCL-2 family of proteins and plays a role in the regulation of cell death, specifically preventing apoptosis and some processes related to necrosis (PMID: 9990505). Overexpression of BCL2 has been observed in a variety of solid tumors, including lung, ovary, and breast, and amplification has been identified in DLBCL (PMID: 26556430, PMID: 9242549), a fusion with IGH has been observed in high-grade B-cell lymphoma (PMID: 32183313, PMID: 31695002), and BCL2 mutations may confer resistance to BH3-mimetics (PMID: 31951646). | ||||||||||
