|Gene Description||SET, SET nuclear proto-oncogene, is a multifunction protein that regulates nucleosome assembly and histone acetylation, promotes small GTPase activity, and inhibits PP2A and cyclin-dependent kinases (PMID: 29749127), thus is involved in gene transcription (PMID: 17179179), cell migration (PMID: 17245428), and cell cycle regulation (PMID: 12407107). SET overexpression has been identified in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 26876205), pancreatic cancer (PMID: 24667985), colorectal cancer (PMID: 25388166), and SET-NUP214 fusion has been identified in T-cell and B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias (PMID: 31186352, PMID: 27073532).|
