| Gene Description | SGK1, serum/glucocorticoid regulated kinase 1, is a member of the AGC family of serine/threonine kinases that acts downstream of the PI3K pathway to regulate signaling involved in multiple processes including ion transport, cell proliferation, differentiation (PMID: 28236975, PMID: 28529581, PMID: 27771704), autophagy homeostasis (PMID: 32067528). SGK1 overexpression has been demonstrated in several tumor types (PMID: 28529581, PMID: 27771704), including lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 31933845), and has been associated with resistance to radiotherapy in rectal cancer (PMID: 32036218). | ||||||||||
