| Gene Description | SHH, sonic hedgehog signaling molecule, encodes for a signaling protein that plays a significant role in embryonic development, specifically, in midline tissue formation and organogenesis, and thus, participates in cell growth, differentiation, and survival (PMID: 18794343). Overexpression of SHH has been associated with multiple tumor types including triple negative breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, and breast cancer (PMID: 26727947, PMID: 14520413, PMID: 15132968, PMID: 20180807, PMID: 32184660). | ||||||||||
