| Gene Description | BMI1, BMI1 proto-oncogene, polycomb ring finger, is a member of the polycomb repressive complex 1 (PRC1), which binds to Ring1b to inhibit expression of PRC1 target genes and has a PRC1-independent role in AR regulation (PMID: 26448339, PMID: 29402932, PMID: 29337063). Overexpression of BMI1 has been observed in a number of solid tumor types, including prostate cancer (PMID: 29402932), tongue squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 29607565), and colon cancer (PMID: 29337063). | ||||||||||
