| Gene Description | BMPR1B, bone morphogenetic protein receptor type 1B, is a type I serine/threonine kinase that forms heteromeric complexes with type II receptors, and plays a role in signal transduction (PMID: 27088043, PMID: 26690041). Overexpression of BMPR1B has been identified in breast cancer (PMID: 15892165), and decreased expression in ovarian (PMID: 20587070) and breast cancer (PMID: 26684357, PMID: 19451094, PMID: 15892165), and loss of BMPR1B expression is associated with poorly-differentiated prostate cancer (PMID: 10850425). | ||||||||||
