|Gene Description||STK33, serine/threonine kinase 33, is a member of the calcium/calmodulin-dependent kinase family (PMID: 29434919) and may regulate intermediate filament dynamics through phosphorylation of vimentin (PMID: 18811945). STK33 is involved in tumorigenesis in various human cancers (PMID: 25398772, PMID: 25603720, PMID: 25662617) and Stk33 overexpression has been reported in pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PMID: 31261148) and cisplatin-resistant lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 31544703), while STK33 hypermethylation and decreased expression has been observed in colorectal cancer (PMID: 29434919).|
