| Gene Description | SP1, Sp1 transcription factor, is a ubiquitously expressed C2H2-type zinc finger protein that binds DNA and regulates transcription of its downstream targets, thereby playing a role in cell growth, apoptosis, and differentiation (PMID: 19273606, PMID: 12620113). Overexpression of Sp1 has been demonstrated in many tumor types, including pancreatic, gastric and lung cancers (PMID: 25393971). | ||||||||||
