| Gene Description | TEK (TIE2), TEK receptor tyrosine kinase, is the angiopoietin receptor tyrosine kinase that regulates angiogenesis and a variety of endothelial cell functions including proliferation, survival, and morphology (PMID: 28289658). Elevated TEK (TIE2) and Ang2 expression is negatively correlated with disease free survival and overall survival in patients with breast cancer (PMID: 28062977), decreased expression has been associated with poor prognosis in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (PMID: 30840266), and plasma levels may be a marker for response to VEGF inhibitors (PMID: 30405103). | ||||||||||
