| Gene Description | TFCP2, transcription factor CP2, encodes a DNA binding protein and transcriptional regulator that is involved in cell proliferation and survival, cell cycle progression, and cell movement, and regulates downstream factors including osteopontin, matrix metalloproteinase 9, and thymidylate synthase (PMID: 15563829, PMID: 25609232). TFCP2 is overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 25609232), and fusions involving TFCP2 have been identified in spindle cell rhabdomyosarcoma (PMID: 29758589). | ||||||||||
