| Gene Description | TGFA, protransforming growth factor alpha, is a ligand for the EGFR receptor that plays a role in cell proliferation, differentiation, angiogenesis (PMID: 26984929) and may modulate the tumor microenvironment and regulate epithelial-mesenchymal transition (PMID: 30392905). TGFA singaling through EGFR has been implicated in promoting tumorgenesis in a number of tumor types, including TNBC (PMID: 30034618), colorectal cancer (PMID: 30010111), and ovarian cancer (PMID: 28166193). | ||||||||||
