| Gene Description | TGFB1, transforming growth factor beta 1, is a secreted cytokine that regulates cell growth, proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis (PMID: 3861940). Altered Tgfb1 expression has been demonstrated in a variety of tumor types (PMID: 20001556), including head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 32118031), and elevated Tgfb1 levels have been reported in the urine from muscle invasive and high-grade urothelial carcinoma patients (PMID: 31514337). | ||||||||||
