| Gene Description | THBS1, thrombospondin 1, is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein induced by TGFB1 (PMID: 26850833) and plays a role in negative regulation of angiogenesis (PMID: 26075074). Decreased expression of Thbs1 has been associated with poor outcomes in lung adenocarcinoma (PMID: 27513329) and the THBS1 promoter is commonly hypermethylated in male ductal carcinoma in situ (PMID: 30921768), however in oral squamous cell carcinoma, Thbs1 promotes cell migration and invasion (PMID: 26850833). | ||||||||||
