| Gene Description | TRPM2, transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily M member 2, is a member of the transient receptor potential (TRP) protein super-family that is activated by oxidative stress (PMID: 28008929) to regulate calcium and sodium flux across membranes (PMID: 27068538) and may play a role in neutrophil recruitment (PMID: 30251149) and autophagy (PMID: 29875336, PMID: 29343514). Overexpression of Trpm2 has been observed in oral squamous cell carcinoma (PMID: 28008929) and somatic mutations have been associated with decreased survival in pancreatic cancer (PMID: 29620272). | ||||||||||
