| Gene Description | UBTF, upstream binding transcription factor, is a transcription factor that activates ribosomal DNA transcription (PMID: 11756560, PMID: 16507361), regulates nucleolar organization (PMID: 24449107, PMID: 30656516), and is involved in genome stability (PMID: 25452314), viral replication (PMID: 25965800, PMID: 19399920), and neurodegeneration (PMID: 29300972, PMID: 28819135). UBTF is overexpressed in melanoma (PMID: 34663332), UBTF internal tandem duplications have been identified in pediatric acute myeloid leukemia (PMID: 33560403), and UBTF fusions have been identified in pheochromocytomas and paragangliomas (PMID: 33986121) and prostate cancer (PMID: 23814484). | ||||||||||
