| Gene Description | PREX2, phosphatidylinositol-3,4,5-trisphosphate dependent Rac exchange factor 2, is a Rho/Rac guanine-nucleotide exchange factor that activates Rac1, resulting in cell migration and invasion, and facilitates PI3K/AKT pathway signaling in a Rac independent manner by inhibiting Pten, thereby promoting cell proliferation (PMID: 23753921, PMID: 21925199). PREX2 mutations have been identified in melanoma (PMID: 22622578), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 30796242), and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 25719666). | ||||||||||
