| Gene Description | ADAM9, ADAM metallopeptidase domain 9, encodes a member of the disintegrin and metalloprotease family that is involved in several physiological functions, playing a role in the proteolytic cleavage of cell surface proteins and cell to cell adhesion (PMID: 33096780, PMID: 10825303, PMID: 11162558). Increased ADAM9 expression has been observed in several tumor types including prostate cancer (PMID: 17018608), breast carcinoma (PMID: 12767059), gastric cancer (PMID: 15586220), hepatocellular carcinoma (PMID: 12717386), and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 14997207). | ||||||||||
