| Gene Description | SLIT2, slit guidance ligand 2, is a secreted ligand for ROBO receptors that serves as a repulsive cue during axon guidance and plays a role in angiogenesis (PMID: 10102268, PMID: 24448236, PMID: 21326323). Decreased expression of SLIT2, including through promoter hypermethylation, has been demonstrated in several tumor types including lung and breast cancer (PMID: 12384551), colorectal cancer (PMID: 12615722), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PMID: 24448236), and papillary thyroid carcinoma (PMID: 26935705), and deletion of SLIT2 has been identified in breast cancer (PMID: 27659325). | ||||||||||
