| Gene Description | CD24, CD24 molecule, encodes a membrane-associated glycoprotein that is expressed on immune cells (PMID: 32790899), and plays a role in activation of innate immune response (PMID: 19264983), cell adhesion (PMID: 15339045, PMID: 21710320), and cell signaling via lipid-raft mediated interactions (PMID: 17980703, PMID: 16390867). Increased CD24 expression has been observed in several tumor types (PMID: 32790899), including ovarian cancer (PMID: 30317611), and prostate cancer (PMID: 18752058), and CD24 amplification has been identified in breast cancer (PMID: 31244889). | ||||||||||
