| Gene Description | CHKA, choline kinase alpha, phosphorylates choline to phosphocholine, which is the first step in the synthesis of phosphatidylcholine for membranes (PMID: 19915674). Overexpression of Chka has been observed in breast, lung, colorectal, and prostate tumors (PMID: 29389115) and may correlate with higher grade breast cancer (PMID: 12082619). | ||||||||||
